As a Technical Lead, you will:
- Lead Innovative Projects: Drive the design and implementation of cutting-edge solutions that reach and engage a wide audience.
- Shape Our Technology Stack: Influence the direction of our technology, setting best practices and ensuring architectural integrity.
- Hands-On Development: Stay actively involved in coding and solving complex technical challenges.
- Mentorship and Growth: Mentor a talented team of developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Public-Facing Impact: Work on applications that are seen and used by the public, including video streaming platforms.
- Technical Authority: Be the go-to person for technical decisions and problem-solving within a small, agile team.
He kōrero mōu ake | About you
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience as a Senior Developer, Technical Lead, or similar role, with a strong track record in solution architecture and successful project delivery.
- Expertise in a selection of front-end and back-end programming languages
- Experience with React, React Native, Go and Docker would be advantageous
- Extensive experience with software architecture and design principles, including microservices, RESTful APIs, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Proficiency in software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Experience with containers and orchestration.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
- Familiarity with performance tuning and optimisation techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- A tertiary qualification in software development, computer science, information systems or similar.
- Experience in development of video streaming applications will be an advantage.
- The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, actively coaching and sharing knowledge
